This year has called upon our creativity to get things done in new ways, and the CROP Walk for Hunger is no different. This year’s walk on October 25 will be virtual. That means you will walk on your own or with family members. You can walk on a favorite trail, remembering those around the world in rural areas who walk long distances for food and water. You can walk in your neighborhood or through town, remembering those who make their way through busy city streets to attain basic needs. We walk, because they walk.
The virtual walk offers the perfect opportunity to invite friends and family to join the walk, even if they do not live in Tucson. All walkers can join our church’s team online and share on their social media pages to ask for sponsors. Twenty-five percent of money raised stays in Tucson to help the Community Food Bank, Interfaith Community Services, and Casa Maria Soup Kitchen. The rest of the money supports a variety of Church World Service’s work for disaster relief and recovery, community development, and refugees.
Sign up on the First Christian team page to walk on October 25!
