In November, several of my friends commit to naming one thing for which they are thankful each day of the month. They tell me this practice of gratitude highlights important relationships and many other gifts life bestows. I have tried this practice this year hoping it could turn my attention toward more positive things. Indeed, it has been a wonderful experience. Intentionally naming a person or thing/situation for which I am grateful and then spending time to reflect on all the reasons for that gratitude has helped me feel more grounded and centered.  It has helped me cherish people in my life as well as see positive aspects in our current circumstances. I hope that however you celebrate Thanksgiving this year that you will have a moment to reflect on the things and people for which you are grateful. I pray this practice of gratitude will bring you strength, peace, and the assurance of God’s great and unending love for you!

Happy Thanksgiving,
